Creative Exchange in Derby is running this introduction to using the revolutionary RED One digital cinema camera. This project funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund, aims to assist professionals working in the film production industry by providing them with access to subsidised training in the use of the RED One digital camera. To access this subsidised training, you must be a professional employed or freelancing in the film/media production industry and have little or no experience in using a RED camera. To apply for a subsidised place you must be able to state how you will benefit from the training and submit a completed application form and an up-to-date curriculum vitae. Cost The cost for those who meet the eligibility criteria is £300. Subsidised places are limited, however further courses at full cost courses will be available in the near future. Course Description This hands-on, three day course introduces students to the basic workflow of the RED One cinema camera. During the course you will gain a comprehensive understanding of this exciting new technology and the operational requirements and techniques of shooting with RED. The course will provide you with the skills to: - set up the camera,
- operate a digital intermediate station,
- manage data (rushes) from the camera, and
- edit footage with Final Cut Pro.
