The inspiration behind the Silver Spring Arm.The original CP models I, II, III, IIIA & EFP arms are beautifully designed from an engineering point of view. They are a tried and tested work horse and a true credit to their creators. They have been used for many years by satisfied operators and are known around the world as being a reliable well functioning piece of equipment.Over twenty years of field use will naturally expose areas for improvement. The Silver Spring Arm has been conceived to vastly improve the original brilliant design as well as greatly increase the life span of the arm.Smooth & QuietWith friction free quiet operation in mind, we have re designed and built the arm to perform with the greatest results we could possibly achieve. The arm will glide smoothly and silently without stiffness or stiction from one position to another.MaintenanceAs all parts are corrosion resistant, self-lubricating, permanently sealed or pre-greased with waterproof lubricant used by the marine industry there is very little that needs maintaining or servicing. Maybe a little grease under the tensioning bolt heads every few years...Replacement partsAll components are replaceable if they are accidentally damaged. This is particularly useful when concerning the spring covers as these are the most likely parts to be damaged or worn.(Please note: Parts will not be sold as an off the shelf item unless damaged components are returned on a swap over basis. This prevents arms from being falsely sold as a Silver Spring Arm.)So how else could you benefit from investing in a Silver Spring Arm?Steadyrig P/L has a unique program which we refer to as the 'Arm Swap-Over Program'.
